The fitting of a breast prosthesis is not only for aesthetic appearances, it is also a therapeutic measure that replaces the weight of the breast. NOT wearing the proper size and weight breast prosthesis can result in spinal curvature, shoulder drop, muscle contracture with accompanying discomfort (neck or back pain) and/or balance problems.

I provide my mastectomy clients with individualized and specialized care. Many styles of breast prostheses and pocketed bras are available, including the "attachable" type (worn next to the skin). Available also are attractive cotton camisoles designed to be worn home from the hospital following surgery and during the healing period before a permanent prosthesis and bras can be worn. Many of my clients have found the camisoles very comfortable to wear while undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation.

I also have specialized designed lingerie such as the pocketed slip camisole. These are beautiful and feminine and cannot be found in department stores.
